REPREVE

The new, quick-drying women’s swimwear is made from 76% to 79% REPREVE Nylon. REPREVE is a synthetic fibre constructed from 100% recycled materials. Along with industrial waste (including their own), REPREVE recycles plastic bottles to make their fibre (more than 26 billion of them since the brand’s launch in 2007).

DENIM

The new women’s jeans and dungarees feature recycled cotton (between 5% and 20% of the total fabric mix) and recycled polyester thread. The pockets are made from recycled polyester and organic cotton blend. The different washes of jeans have been created without pumice or stone washing techniques, which can be damaging to factory workers’ health. The denim factories they work with take steps to mitigate their environmental impact, like using recycled water and renewable energy.

The wool used in the knitwear collections is ethically sourced and fully traceable. It's certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) which ensures that sheep are treated well and allowed the Five Freedoms of animal welfare. The standard also has requirements around responsible land management to protect soil health and biodiversity. None of the supplier's practices mulesing (a painful method of protecting certain sheep from a deadly fly infestation, which involves removing strips of skin).
